Playdough is fun but is even more fun when you can eat it! This 2 ingredient edible playdough recipe is perfect for those toddlers still putting everything in their mouth.
Some playdough recipes are safe to eat and call for all purpose flours. Our softest playdough recipe is non toxic but I wouldn’t want my child eating it. Flour can contain bacteria, so although they are non-toxic you will need to put it in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes to kill all the bacteria. Who has time for that?! Instead do this recipe!
a bit of warning… it tastes delicious! I had to take the playdough away because the kids (even my teenager loved the taste? I mean who doesn’t love sugar!)
let’s get started! See the video and see how fun and easy this was to make!
Edible Playdough Recipe {Confetti Playdough}
Ingredients
- • 1 cup Confetti Funfetti Frosty.
- • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar.
- • Mixer / Spatula.
- • Bowl
- • Measuring spoons.
Instructions
- • Add about one cup of the Confetti frosty to a pot.
- • Add about one and a half cups of sugar to the pot (if the mixture is too sticky, you can add more until it blends well together).
- • Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl until it does not feel sticky to the hand.
- • Add the Sprinkles and make sure they blend into the Playdough.
- • You can add Playdough into an ice cream cone to make it more fun to play with.
- Note: You can add food coloring to make the different colors of Playdough, and you can also prepare without the sprinkles.
- • When the dough is not in use, store in Ziploc bags and keep in the fridge (It does not preserve well because it does not have salt in it).
