This cloud dough is a variation of our moon sound, it is a moldable sand but a lot softer. Some may argue this is called kinetic sand but in my opinion, kinetic sand has a slow falling effect that this one doesn’t. Our kinetic sand recipe is the best so be sure to check that out.

Now that we got that squared away, let’s cut to the chase and learn how to make peppermint cloud dough.
Peppermint Cloud Dough
Ingredients
- 4 Cups of flour
- Green food coloring or paint
- 1/2 Cup of vegetable oil
- Peppermint extract or essential oil
Instructions
- Add 4 cups of flour into a bowl
- Add about 10 drops of essential oil or 1 tablespoon of peppermint extract into the bowl. (or until you reach the satisfying scent)
- Add a few drops of food coloring (or tempera paint) into the mix,
- and mix around.
- Add 1/4 cup vegetable oil into each bowl.
- Mix continuously until the color has been distributed evenly and the dough becomes moldable but not too wet.
- Serve into a sensory bin and it’s ready for playtime!
