- Markers
- Toy cars (larger cars work best)
- Large craft paper
- Tape or number stickers
▶️ How to Set It Up
- Use a large piece of paper to draw a simple city or parking lot with parking spaces.
- Assign a number to each parking space using markers or number stickers.
- Label each toy car with a matching number using tape or stickers.
- Place everything on the floor or table and invite your child to explore.
🚦 How to Play
Allow your child to drive the cars around the “city,” parking each car in the space that matches its number.
You can narrate as they play:
- “You’re driving the number 3 car.”
- “Where does number 5 park?”
There’s no need to correct or rush — repetition and play are what build understanding.
💡 Teacher Tip
If your child isn’t ready to match numbers yet, let them focus on driving, drawing roads, or making marks with the markers. The learning still happens through exposure and repetition.
