The Play Plan · Kindergarten gives you 12 story-anchored themed units of daily, hands-on learning built specifically for ages 5–6. It follows a real school-year rhythm from September through May, with three flexible summer units included. Each unit is self-contained: a theme, four weeks of Monday-through-Friday activities, a weekly picture book, and a closing reflection page. One activity a day, about 20–25 minutes each. Skip a day, swap days, repeat what they love — it is built to flex around your real life.

Every activity strengthens one of six core skill areas:

Reading & Writing — decoding, sight words, simple sentences, real reading, longer conversations, journaling, and early storytelling

Math & Operations — numbers to 100, place value, addition and subtraction within 20, counting patterns, measurement, money basics, and real word problems

Science & Inquiry — real experiments, hypotheses, observation, nature study, life cycles, ecosystems, and the scientific method in action

Social Studies & World — community, country, maps, cultures, history, helpers, citizenship, and the world your child belongs to

Arts & Performance — real art skills, music, drama, storytelling, performance, and imagination as craft

Big Kid Skills — executive function, responsibility, self-care, conflict repair, confidence, and first-grade readiness
