Are you looking for a simple to follow baby first food chart? Introducing solids can be scary! use this chart for introducing foods to baby and remember what foods to introduce when using puree foods or BLW method.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) says you should start your child on solids between 4 and 6 months. What is more important than the age is to watch for the signs of readiness.
Here are some signs that your little one may be ready for baby food:
- He can sit upright unsupported.
- Baby is curious about food – especially when you’re eating!
- Baby has lost the tongue-thrust reflex (this is the reflex that automatically pushes food out of his mouth)
- Baby still seems hungry after getting a full day’s portion of milk (eight to 10 breastfeedings or about 32 ounces of formula).
