Ghost felt craft for kids to make this halloween

Every year I try to make at least one Halloween craft that I can use as home decor. I can’t believe how cute and extremely easy this ghost felt craft is.

Initially, they were meant to be a hanging garland, but they came out so cute; I sat them in front of me as I was making the rest, and looked adorable in my kitchen counter. So cute, they will stay there for the rest of the season.

Supplies needed for ghost felt craft:

  • Felt
  • Styrofoam balls
  • googly eyes
  • scissors
  • pipe cleaners

Prepare the felt

Create a square using the felt. Because the felt that I bought were a rectangular shape, I simply folded the shortest part of my felt and aligned it to the longest part. I cut out the extra, and that will give me a perfect square.

Create the base

Place the Styrofoam ball right in the middle. My balls were a bit large for the size of the felt, but you can use any size balls you find! By using the large ball and large googly eyes, these ghosts will have a child feel as large heads and large eyes with small bodies is a characteristic commonly seen in cartoons when picturing child anything.

SeCure the body

Fold the felt around to cover the styrofoam ball and secure it tightly by twisting a silver pipe wire around it. Cut any extra wire and twist to hide any small loose pieces of the wire

GIve it character

Using self-adhesive googly eye choose the size of eyes you want and place them over the head. You can make different looks on different ghosts by placing different size eyes at a different angle.

Separating the eyes further apart from each other will also give your ghost as different look.

RInse and repeat

Fluff the bottom of your ghost to open up the body and sit him on the table. Repeat the process with as many ghosts as you want. You can sit them in the table or hang them as a garland.
