How to make shaving cream Marbled paper Art

Step 1: Shaving Cream

Place the shaving cream on a tray spreading a think layer across.

The shaving crema layer should be the size of the paper you are working with. Our paper was small so we did small batches to test different color combinations.

Select Your Colors

Drop 1-2 drops of food coloring. We started doing plain color prints and moved on to doing two and three color combinations as we got more comfortable.

As a suggestion, start with using just two primary colors. When primary colors mix they make new colors.

Remember : if you mix red, blue and yellow it makes brown.

Create the marble effect

Using a toothpick or the back of a paintbrush, move the food coloring around. Do not over stir, you want to create stripes of colors and still see some of the white from the shaving cream.

Making shaving cream Marble Prints

Place your paper facing down onto the shaving cream mix. Press down like a sandwich about half way to make sure you get enough shaving cream over the paper.

Lift your paper up and using the spatula remove the shaving cream right away. You do not need for the shaving cream to dry, just press, lift, scrape and repeat!

Make marble prints

Now that you got the process down all its left is to get creative. Rey mixing two three colors, mix a lot, mix little and see what combinations designs you can get.

Use scissors to cut different designs like hearts or circle or even planets!
